Keep it Northern Store

Greetings from the North,

As a visual artist based in Yellowknife (Northwest Territories, Canada), I initially created this portfolio for the purpose of sharing my art (read heart) with the outside world, and to provide my beloved northern community, with an online store of their own. 

My art is mainly traditional (and holistic), rooted in an explorative journey dedicated to healing, being and "arting". My favorite mediums are acrylic, ink, pencils and most of everything I can find in nature. 

Although this space was originally created to showcase my designs, I eventually felt a need to enlarge the concept to integrate the photography of my husband (and best supporter), Stephen M. Fochuk. His photography showcase northern wildlife, airplanes, ice road truckers and so much more. 

As a parent of a child on the autism spectrum and of another child that is highly sensitive, and through my practice as a Reiki Master Practitioner and as a Art Healing Coach, I became deeply involved in supporting the integration of beings, labelled as neurodivergent. As a result of this passion (read obsession) of mine, I started to create designs showcasing the art of willing young artists. Seeing the positive effect of representation was, and still is today, a core driver of this initiative. 

Of course, all of this work of love is happening with full consent of all parties involved.
